Nevada DMV Rolls Out 24/7 Self-Service Kiosks to Streamline Public Access
In a major step toward modernizing public services, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles launched a statewide network of self-service kiosks aimed at reducing wait times and improving convenience for residents. Spearheaded by then-DMV Director David Breslow, the initiative marked a significant leap in the agency’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience through technology.
The new kiosks allow users to complete a wide range of transactions—such as renewing driver’s licenses, updating vehicle registrations, and ordering personalized license plates—without needing to visit a staffed DMV window. Available 24/7 at select DMV offices and high-traffic public locations, the kiosks are designed to offer quick, secure service around the clock.
Strategically placed across the state, the machines are expected to significantly reduce lines at DMV offices, offering customers a faster, more efficient alternative for everyday services. Early feedback from users highlighted the system’s ease of use and the time saved by avoiding traditional in-person visits.
The kiosk rollout is part of a broader push by the DMV to embrace digital tools and reimagine how government services can meet the evolving needs of the public.
